First, the answer from last week:
i+ in the first line should have been i++

have a heart 5k run and 1.5 mile dog walk

Friday, February 13th, 2009

Tomorrow morning we will be a sponsor at the “Have a Heart” run and dog walk.  It benefits Crisis Control Ministry and the Forsyth Humane Society.  Registration (along with free coffee and bagels) runs from 9:00am to 10:30am.  Aside from the help this event will give the two community services it benefits, I’m also excited about the Microchipping clinic starting at 9:45.  I love to see technology being used to better the community.  Anyone have a dog costume I can borrow to get one of those cool microchips?

More information about the event is available here.

happy 1234567890 day*

Friday, February 13th, 2009

Today (February 13th, 2009), at 6:31:30PM Unix time will equal ‘1234567890′.

I will probably be celebrating with some of my friends and a Brew Nerds drink. Probably a swirly of some sort.

*if you have no idea what “Unix time” is:
It is the number of seconds (not counting leap seconds) that have elapsed since midnight UTC January 1st, 1970.

Sorry for the delay…I’ve been quite busy you see.

Answer from last week:
Anywhere between 2.2 and 2.6 grams.

This week’s question:
What is missing from the following bash shell script?

for ((  i = 0 ;  i < 1000;  i+  ))
do
echo “Making folder$i”
mkdir Folder$i
done

Something you need to try

Sunday, February 1st, 2009

We have a relatively new drink at the store.  The “Salted Caramel Latte.”  I know that it might sound a little strange, but the salt really rounds out the drink.  If you’re like me and you can barely finish a regular Caramel Latte because of the sweetness (or if you like to dip french fries in your favorite chocolate non-dairy dessert), give the new drink a try.
