First, the answer from last week: Don Knuth, truly an important historical figure in computer science.

Now, this week’s question:

I brew a pot of coffee and end up with 8 cups of drinkable delight.  Assuming my entire brewing process conforms to the Golden Cup standard, what is an acceptable mass (in grams) of the soluble coffee particles in said delight?  Accuracy to the decigram is sufficient.

Bring in the correct answer for a free 450mL beverage of your choice.  I recommend a peppermint mocha this week.

i got a new toy

Today I got a new toy wireless router.  It seems my old Linksys WRT-54G with DD-WRT on it didn’t want to play nice with my MacBook Pro anymore.  I favor Belkin, and I couldn’t resist the eye-candy nerd appeal of their new N1 Vision.  Take a look:

It supports WPA2, 802.11N, and all the other fun new letter-number combinations.

Now to start working on hacking it so I can see the weather forecast on the display.

  1. Those who have seen the video, downloaded the song to support this type of hiarlity and need to see it again because they haven’t played it today yet.
  2. Those who have been sleeping underneath a slab of granite and haven’t yet seen the piece of marvelousness
  3. Those who think it is dumb, but should watch it again (and again) in hopes that their eyes will be opened to the beauty of nerd-core rap
